Quite Fast, Not so Furious
Where to start on this one! Ok, I think I got it. Let’s start out by saying, this movie is better than the first movie. That being said, let’s explain why. Vin Diesel, and the lack thereof. Vin, in my opinion, has alot of potential in the movie industry. The guy is huge, and has a good screen presents, ala The Knockaround Guys. However, this movie was much better without him in it. Tyrese was unexplicably good. He had excellent presence, and was pretty funny from time to time. Kudos to him for only his second big-screen flick. Paul Walker, needs a different job. I mean, my wife goes ga-ga over him, so he should obviously be in front of a camera, just not a motion picture camera. However, leaving out the one-liners for Paul was a tremendous improvement. And it seemed that he and Tyrese has alot of fun on this job, so that’s cool.
Oh yeah! Let me talk about the chinese chick (Devon Aoki) no disrespect, but for the first half of this movie, she looked absolutely disgusting. She is in one of the very first shots of this film, and I almost puked. My wife is my witness. However, once the close-ups were over, she wasn’t too vomit inducing. Still, there are alot of other oriental women that would have been better, as far as scenery, then Devon.
Anyways, overall, not a bad flick, fun, but the ending was a little drab. Better than first. 3 outta 5 stars.
