All Hail the Heads!
I FINALLY got a chance to listen to the new Radiohead cd, Hail to the Theif. I apologize to all you fans that I didn’t pick this album up on June 10th like I had planned to. Stuff happens. Well anyway to the music.
I was sitting at work all day today listening over and over to the Hail to the Theif. From the very first listen I liked the music and liked the fact that had a mixture of all the old Radiohead album’s. It had some songs that were similar to the old days of Pablo Honey and The Bends. It had a lot of songs reminiscent of the OK Computer era and some Kid A type songs. Normally they stick with one sound throughout an entire album, but this they didn’t, which I really enjoyed.
Is it better than OK Computer? NO. Is it better than the Bends? Still NO.
Could this change: YES! |cheerful|
The uniqueness, diversity, and poignant, angst ridden lyrics of the fears and paranoia of today’s society make this album WELL WORTH THE BUY!! But give it a few listens before you make any judgments.
