Fickle Friggin’ Fans
Sometimes I just have to sit back in amazement about how fickle people are. One day they are on the Donovan McNabb bandwagon, then there is a little bumpiness, and how quick they are to forget the good and want to castrate the guy.
I was on PhiladelphiaEagles.com and they were holding a poll about what the Eagles next move should be since something is obviously not right. There were multiple reasonable options but the one that got almost over half the votes was to bench Donovan McNabb. COME ON PEOPLE!!! With the type of protection the offensive line do you think that A.J. Feely or Koy Detmer would do any better? NO WAY! They do not have half the mobility of McNabb and would get slaughtered if they had to stay in the pocket. Also, fans forget that Donovan is the man that HELPED get them to the NFC championship game two years in a row. Notice emphasis on the word help. People are blaming everything on Donovan. You have to look at the o-line. You have to look at the recievers. When McNabb throws a good pass they are getting dropped a good number of times. You have to look at the coaching. If they hadn’t have done that onside kick attempt against Dallas they would have most likely won that game. Now where was Donovan on that play, on the sidelines. Come on peoples have a little confidence in the people you are supposed to be rooting for. Its frustrating when the Eagles lose I understand, I want to see the Eagles succeed as much as anyone. I am physically sickened if they lose. But throwing everything on Donovan is not helping, I’m sure that gets back to him and I’m sure his confidence is shaken because of it.
Sorry for the rant, just in disbelief at the loyalty of so-called fans. Let us ( Eagles fans ), not me saying I’m part of the Eagles organization, hope for a good Sunday against the Giants.
