I’m a Curbside Prophet
I know that this CD has been out for awhile but I finally got around to listening to it. I really really wasn’t too excited about hearing this album because I hated the first single, The Remedy. If you haven’t guessed by now I’m talking about Jason Mraz - Waiting for My Rocket to Come. I really liked the next single, You and I Both, and bought the song off iTunes. I finally got to get the whole album and when I listened to it I was totally surprised. The songs were often cheery and Sublime reggaeish type songs, but then there was the more serious slow type songs. These are the songs that I am really hooked on, namely the song Absolutely Zero.. This song is absolutely amazing. It is slow and his voice in this song is high quality to say the least. I put this song on repeat for about 2 hours of my day. There are some other really good slow songs especially The Boy’s Gone. His lyrics are sometimes cheesey just like in the Remedy but other times they are insightful and creative.
I would recommend this album to any “pop” genre fans and also to the more “folksy” crowd. I give this album 4.8 out of 5 stars. I would have given it 5 stars but I really really dislike the Remedy.
If By Everyday You Mean Once A Week
Sorry I know I said I was going to post everyday but I got very very busy the last couple of days… Well what have I been up to.. Mostly working and listening to music..
Speaking of awesome music recently I checked out Breaking Benjamin at Croc Rock in Allentown.. Well what can I say besides the show was freaking awesome. They put on a kickin show… Ajar opened for them and did really good as well. What was really cool was that they started moshing with us when Benjamin started playing. Crowd surfing was an adventure being that I was probably the tallest person there. I got Ben’s signature which was kinda cool. I can’t wait to see them again.. Sinch is going to be playing Croc Rock in April and I’m really really really looking forward to that show.
That is all for now.. I’m getting tired and got a bunch of work to do… C-YA!!
Two Four Six Fifty
How many songs will you get? I am at about 20, but am not going to go crazy. There are 100,000,000 out there - drink up!
Just Shoot Me
I am not talking about the show. I mean it. Just put me out of my, and many others, misery. Seriously, do it. I’m still waiting.
Well, as you read in a recent post by Chris, I hurt my back. Not doing anything valiant, or heroic, no no - that’d be too cool for me. I was shutting my alarm clock off. Allow me to elaborate.
It’s Sunday morning, 8:00am. The alarm clock is buzzing. I sit up, rotate my overweight frame to my left, which allows my feet to fall gently to the floor. The Alarm clock now resides on the floor slightly to my front-right. I lean forward to smash the ’snooze’ button, a habit that is all too difficult to break. When suddenly, almost instantly, the lower-half of my back becomes hot. It felt like someone had rested a hot frying pan onto my back. I was unable to move, I could get up, I couldn’t bend down further. I had to slowly adjust myself back onto my back, resting my head against the pillow. There is where I stayed till about 1:30 that day, when I mustered up the courage and strength to crawl, yes crawl, down the stairs. Literally. Once I got to the couch it was nearly 6:00pm before I stood up, in pain as I did so.
I am typing this post nearly 36hrs post-incident. I am feeling better, but can only stand for about 20 minutes, and sit upride for a few hours at a time.
If I was a horse, dog, cow or any other animal, I’d be taken out to pasture and done away with.
My Back is Fine
Since my back is fine it looks like I have to pick up the slack on the posts. I haven’t posted often enough or given anything with too much substance, now I know how Good Charlotte and Simple Plan feel. I am going to make at least half an effort to post every day. So expect hearing from me a lot. I know you are all looking forward to it.
I have a bunch of stuff to talk about but just haven’t got around to it.
C-YA!!
Busy as a B
I am not going to kid myself. I know that no one is reading this post. However, I still feel compelled to say - sorry for the lack of posts. I have been extremely busy with many things. Work, personal stuff, and a new version for this site. No timeframe, no promises.
