A series of unfortunate events

The only unfortunate event was actually going to see this movie. Liminey Snicket’s A series of unfortunate events was a horrible movie.

Some would say that the power of Jim Carrey is enough to keep this film’s head above water. I do not hold this movie very high among Carrey’s filmography, and I also do not believe that one actor can hold a movie by themselves.

Of course my theory gets shredded when you consider movies with only one main character, like Castaway, where you spend 2 hours staring at Tom Hanks naked body. However, Tom Hanks can hold a movie on his own - Jim Carrey’s antics can not.

I’m one of Jim Carrey’s biggest fans, and I can honestly say that I do not recommend wasting your time or money going to see this in theatres.

Side note: I’m sure the books are FAR better than this movie, as most book-to-screen projects are.
