Simple Photos Plugin 0.1

I’m posting this plugin simply because I hope there are a few people out there that could use it. I had to create this plugin for a client of mine that is using WordPress 1.5 pretty extensively, and I thought that perhaps it could be improved upon by the community.

I’m calling it Simple Photos because it is really an extremely simple concept and it’s execution is just as simple.

This plugin allows you to simply upload a directory of photos to your ‘blog server’ and tell a specific post, using custom fields, to use that directory in your post. Although this plugin is similar to Alex King’s WP-Photos, its not even close to being as well built. If you are looking for a complete photo solution for WordPress 1.5, there are many alternatives to this one.

That being said, I do think that this plugin could be useful to those looking for some of the functionality that this holds. I’ve installed this simple photo plugin on TUG.n to show a simple example of what you could do.

I may improve on this as my client needs, and then post the updates here, but I don’t think I will be doing any updates to this plugin personally. Perhaps the community could improve this plugin greatly depending on your specific needs. Please trackback this post if you do.

You can download version 0.1 of Simple Photos Plugin here.
