iPod color

Did you want an iPod photo but couldn’t afford it? The new iPod color might be your alternative.

The 2-tone color screens of the last 4 iPod generations are now gone. Apple has redone the entire line of iPods to include a color screen. The price points seem to be the same as before, so this makes upgrading pretty affordable.

I see this move by Apple as almost a necessity. Many 3rd party products were becoming available to sync your digital camera with your iPod. This made the iPod photo not-so-unique. So, to give their iPod customers the best experience, they’ve included a color screen and the “operating system” found on the iPod photo on all of the iPods starting with the 20Gb version. Now, when syncing your digital camera to your iPod you will be able to see your photos right on the screen.

Good move.
