The uber geeks

The 9rules Network works for me!

Several people have commented likewise including Chris J. Davis, Darice de Cuba, Matthew Oliphant and others. The 9rules Network has helped my Web site’s traffic increase dramatically.

I’m proud to announce that TUGs traffic has just passed double the total traffic of the entire 2004 year in 2005. That’s right, in just 7 months, we’ve doubled the traffic of what we were able to muster in 12. And the traffic is increasing every-single-day!

The Network can’t get all the credit, but a large portion of the credit does go the the Network’s ability to help a Web site’s PR level increase. Since joining the 9rules Network the number of references from Google have tripled. Chris’ Songs of the Week are the most popular posts on our site by far, since they are the meat that which Google feeds upon. The 9rules Network is 4th in overall referrees to our site, with Google being number one. However, the only reason Google is number one is because the 9rules Network links to every post on our site. That and the 9rules team helped me to reconsider my SEO and its worked out incredibly well.

In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve also started writing more. Which helps out as well. In fact, since I’ve been writing more consistently I’ve seen a 40% increase in day-to-day traffic. That’s significant. I recommend giving that a try if you’re looking to increase your site’s numbers.

The community behind the 9rules Network and it’s members is strong, fun and great to be apart of. The future looks bright for every single member, and I can’t wait till our progress is less “behind the scenes” and more in front of your eyes.

Thanks for visiting TUG and thanks for all the help 9rules.

Do you digg us?

I’m sure most of you out there use digg.com, because if I know about it everyone must.

I’ve started submitting some of our stuff on digg through my username. Digg our stories, if you have a digg account. Is this illegal digging? Oh well.

I’m digging other stuff as it comes up.

Note: 9rules will be doing much more with digg.com in the future - for all of its members. But their API has yet to be made public.

My thoughts of Stewie Griffin the Untold Story

I told you that I knew it existed, but how did I like it? Perfect as always.

I believe that Seth Macfarlane purposely leaked this movie over P2P network, but that is besides the point. Once again he, and his team, have struck gold. I think the reason that they didn’t mess up the first “Family Guy movie” is because they approached it as being 3 separate episodes.

Stewie is many a fan’s favorite character, and if you haven’t noticed the 4th season (now showing on Sundays on Fox) does not focus much on Stewie. Well, it appears that they’ve taken the 3 episodes that did focus on Stewie and jammed them together into one 1 and a 1/2 hour “movie”.

The movie is not your average family guy, as there are some curses that would never air on FOX. This does not mean that the dialog for each character changed 1 iota from what would normally be scripted for the on TV versions of these episodes, they just didn’t “bleep” the curses out.

I’m not going to go into story line, for those of you that have not downloaded it - and also for those (like myself) that will eventually own this on DVD when/if FOX decides to release this to the public. But I do believe that they purposely released this - either way I’m sure they will produce a DVD for mass consumption.

Trimming the fat

With all of these GTD tips flying in from all over the place, I’ve decided to trim the fat and focus on the tasks in front of me. I had high-hopes for CorkForce.com, but since joining the 9rules team I have not been able to focus on making CorkForce the success it has the potential to be.

That being said, I do not want the domain to lapse. I do not want to see CorkForce die. So, I’m selling it on Sitepoint just to make sure that it goes to a serious and convicted owner that will hopefully bring the site’s potential to fruition.

Ahhh, relief.

Uncle Times Two

I am proud to say that I became an uncle for the second time. Giana Corynn was born yesterday morning at around 8:30 AM. She weighs about 9 pounds and is beautiful, happy and healthy.

YAY for me!! Oh yeah, for my sister and the rest of the fam too.

Posting photos simply for the sake of posting some photos

I don’t post enough photos, that is for sure. In fact, I don’t take near the amount of photos that I used to. Perhaps that will change when I’m on vacation.

Pond construction

A pond is being created outside of our building.

So, there you go, 3 photos being posted simply for the sake of posting some photos.
