Blingo Bling Bling
Blingo bling. Today was a very good day. The sun is shining, free lunch, fun day of work, got a lot accomplished and won on Blingo.
As you may have heard there is a new search engine called Blingo. To be honest with you, I was a bit hesitant at first and thought the chances of my winning would be slim to none. Heck, even if I did win I thought I would be inundated with an unsavory amount of spam.
I have been pleasantly surprised on all counts. Not one piece of junk mail has entered my mailbox and in my first day of real searching I won a movie ticket. That means that Eliza, my referrer, won as well. I’m ready for some popcorny movie goodness.
For all of you who are doubting test it out: sign up for a free email account that you aren’t afraid to get spam at and give Blingo a test run. A movie ticket isn’t much, but I found my search result and won, saving me at least $8 next time I want to catch a flick, in the process. Can’t complain about that too much.
James Archer pointed out that Blingo’s tips say that only your first 10 searches of the day are eligible for a win. However, this may not be true. I tried to scam the search engine all morning in an effort to win a free prize (which includes a shot at an iPod, PSP, or Blockbuster rentals). Then I stopped searching and on my one legitimate search I got a notice that I had won. Either his site’s 24 hour period reset occured after I tried to scam it or this isn’t true. Either way, the best way to search is the honest way. Search when you need to and don’t try to fool it, regardless if the 10 first searches eligibility is untrue. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
Give the link in the right hand of our site a click and sign up. If you win don’t forget to email Colin and let him know you signed up to Blingo on my recommendation. He will never tell me if you do, especially if you win a iPod or PSP, but you might as well bust his balls anyway.
