Coffee Appreciation

Lately I have been realizing I have been taking a lot of things for granted. I know this sounds cliché, but it is true.

Take for example my Powerbook. It seems like every two weeks or so I somehow forget my enjoyment and then I get a revelation of how unbelievably lucky I am to be working on such a sweet and efficient machine. Colin can vouche for this seeing as usually he is the one I’m ranting to about it whenever I have this epiphany.

This morning when I arrived at work I was very grumpy. I stopped at the coffee shop downstairs cleverly named “Sacred Grounds”. They make delicious coffee and when I decide I don’t feel like making my own, they are the first people I see.

When I sat down and took my first sip the swell of gratitude sweeped over me. This substance is amazing. Not only is it rich, soothing and tasty it is basically essential for a tech-junkies life. It is a sustaining life force that gives you a boost, tastes great, and alleviates the desire to kill. Okay, that last part is an exaggeration but you get the point.

I appreciate you coffee. Thanks for many years of pleasure.
