Turning the cold down actually makes the water colder
Q: You know what really grinds my gears?
A: Turning the cold down actually makes the water colder.
When showering I typically turn the hot water on full blast, and control the temperature by adjusting the cold. However, it seems that when the water is just about right, and I turn the cold water down just slightly to bring the water temperature up, the water actually gets colder.
This phenomenon has happened to me in several showers that use several different configurations. It has happened to me with dual faucet handle configurations and single also.
I really do hate jumping behind the shower curtain just to adjust the temperature.
