Week one weight update
One week ago today I started my diet. Although I’ve wanted to attempt this for a little while now, I was motivated on a recent vacation after talking to my Brother, and so we both decided to take a stab at it.
Last Sunday I weighed in at 229 pounds. Here is what happened over the course of this week:
- Day one: Is the first day always the hardest?
- Day two: Here comes the hunger
- Night two: Sparks flew, emotions ran high
- Day three: I’m actually full
- Day four: Eating my “big meal” in the middle of the day makes me feel like one of Pavlov’s dogs at night
- Day five: As the hunger subsides my minds-eye already thinks I’m skinny
- Day six: I could have cheated today, but not doing so makes me stronger
I’ve been through a lot over the last week, but it has been well worth it. I feel that I know have decent command over my body and mind, and I now have what it takes to take this to the finish.
After 7 days on the diet, I lost 10 pounds. I now weigh 219.4 pounds. Expect further updates each and every day, and also a new weight update next Sunday.
