Must-have Apple accessories
Shortly after purchasing my now beloved Griffin iCurve, I asked myself, “What other accessories are out there that are affordable and useful that I haven’t even taken advantage of?”.
I have always been very pleased with my (although it’s not technically mine) PowerBook. I was also always very content with just using the PowerBook as a standalone machine without any bells and whistles. However, shortly after seeing the iCurve, I knew I had to get one. Even then, I didn’t make the plunge into getting one for a couple months after Colin suggested it for my situation.
The iCurve was a perfect fit for me, though, because I had many neck problems looking down at my monitor for 8 hours plus a day. I never wanted to plug a monitor into my PowerBook because I didn’t want to waste that much workspace. However, when I saw the iCurve, I thought it would be perfect to add a wireless keyboard, especially since I was having wrist problems with the laptop keyboard.
Now that I have all this setup, I must say, I am extremely pleased with the way my workspace (note: This is not my normal workspace. I set this up at a friend’s house to see how it would work. This is how I have my workspace setup, just with a larger desk.) is setup now. I can sit comfortably and have plenty of space left over. If I just had a bluetooth Mighty Mouse I would be in work heaven.
None of these purchases have been for entirely superficial purposes. They all allow me to be more effective at work, even though at first, I didn’t think this was necessary in order for me to do so.
I’m sure there are some out there that I didn’t even think existed yet. What are the other products that you have found to be essentials for your Apple products?

Never underestimate the value of a good chair. I had an epiphany the day I realized I spent more time each day in my home office chair than in my bed. That was also the day I went out and bought an Aeron chair and have never looked bad. That was three or four years ago and my back loves me for it.

The chairs I have at my offices (work and home) are decent chairs. They are nothing fancy, but they are much better than my previous (low-back) chairs.
I would love to get a chair like the Aeron ones, maybe one day.

That should have been “never looked back” rather than “never looked bad.”
