Chris: Mike is watching Lord of the Rings so I’ll chime in. Although I’m not sure how this specific trick was done, most of the time a “through the glass” type of trick is slight of hand combined with outside assistance. You can do some research, via Google, that will help you find how to do some of the tricks that David Blane does, which is very similar to what this guy pulled off
