I think it’s all about giving Akamai the boot. Server their own stuff and maybe use it for the impending video distribution network.

I agree with Mike, I think it’s mainly gonna be for them to start putting full movies into iTunes, and about time too. It could also be part of something with .Mac, maybe they’re expecting some huge demand in accounes after they do something with it (reduce or get rid of the price or add in some really killer features, like your own domain name and full website hosting with the ability to have your own design and everything).
