Bug in Mail’s Smart Mailboxes?
I’ve been able to replicate this bug in Mail’s Smart Mailboxes several times, and I’d like to see if I’m not alone in being able to replicate this across several systems.
Steps to reproduce the bug
- While in Mail, create a new Smart Mailbox
- Click on one of the “replied to” message icons
- The window shouldn’t open
Something you will want to be sure of, is that you actually have email that you’ve replied to within that smart mailbox that you’ve created.
For whatever reason, that “replied to” icon will open the email you replied with in normal situations, but not within Smart Mailboxes.
Can anyone else confirm this?

Works for me in Smart Mailboxes, the email I sent pops open in a new window.
On the flip side, I didn’t even know that Mail had that functionality. I’ve been secretly complaining that I couldn’t see the message I had sent in reply ala Entourage.

Weird, still not working for me. I wonder if there is something else we can do to replicate this.
