Dell.com’s checkout sucks
Q: You know what really grinds my gears?
A: Dell.com’s checkout. The entire thing sucks. I’ve bought products from almost every major online retailer, that I can think of, and by far Dell’s was the worst checkout experience.
They have a great deal on the monitor I wanted, but are these guys really the biggest/best?

No they’re not the best, just really cheap.

I cannot explain to you how much I hate Dell. Actually, I sitting here in front of a Dell laptop, which is functional as well as pretty nice on the eyes. But seriously, Dell is horrible when it comes to customer service… just thinking about it is making my blood pressure go up.
Anyhow, good luck, but if you can buy any other brand, do it. Because if anything goes wrong, even under “warranty”, they’re going to do their best to screw you out of the help you need.
Just my 2 cents. I apologize for the rant.

Erin, did you just say a dell was pretty nice on the eyes? wtf woman?! From what I’ve heard, Colin might just have to go through Dell’s customer service pretty soon. Haha.

I’ve never bought anything from Dell, but I’ve priced things out in their store. The fact that the first thing it asks you is if it’s for home, office, home office, or whatever annoys the fuck out of me. I want to see their computers — all of them. Not the ones they classify as “home office” or whatever. They need to break it down by laptop, desktop and server. Maybe add media center in there too if they have any.
Dell’s store reminds me of the checkout at Best Buy, where they’re forced to take you through their Netflix spiel, their Best Buy card spiel, their Entertainment Weekly spiel, their Reward Zone spiel, their service plan spiel, and just about anything else they can think of. They’re desperate to tack more stuff on, it seems.

Just spent 30min trying to checkout with a laptop and monitor at the same time. Gave up because I couldn’t add them both to the shopping cart together. Dell sucks.
