Sonar banned

The use of sonar was banned in a recent U.S. Navy training exercise due to its effect on marine mammals in the area. I think it is great that we even know that it would effect them, and that someone is willing to speak up to help. Update: Now they are using some new equipment. Kudos.

    That’s pretty awesome. Too bad they’ve already caused thousands of dolphins and whales to beach themselves in the past, though.

    Stupid humans. We always have to fuck everything up.
