Interesting. I obviously have close ties to the image I grew up with as Optimus Prime but I remain open to this new incarnation. I’m going to reserve judgement until I see him in action with his voice. I’m sure it will work. It has to. Right?

I’ve seen quite a few different images of what Optimus, Bumblebee and Megatron look like and while it is a bit of a shock to see how they differ from the cartoons I also realize that the cartoons were just that — whereas Bay is going for a much more realistic look.
And yes David, with the original actor doing the voice for Optimus it has to work.
