iTunes 7 rips off Microsoft design?
Did iTunes 7’s album view rip off something Microsoft did? Some seem to think so. Oh, and I agree. So I dugg the post.

They copied upto one point : usability. It is a lot easier to change things in WMP. Not only are there multiple different views, but you can easily drag and drop and WMP will automatically change the tags accordingly.
iTunes7 is a huge improvent, I compared iTunes 6 and WMP11 only some days ago visually, but WMP still beats iTunes 7. iTunes is so not userfriendly compared to WMP.
Dugg as well.

I have never used WMP 11 so I can not speak to its usability - especially to compare it to iTunes. But I can say that I really like iTunes 7.

Visually this is one big improvement. Biggest difference I notice between both is WMPs ability almost to act as Windows Explorer, I mean drag&drop fe.
Known problem is how iTunes 7 deals with samplers. In WMP I’ld only have to drag the single files into the correct album and WMP will automatically correct the tags and album art.
Both players have much in common, and WMP certainly has copied alot from former iTunes versions, still can’t handle podcasts. Of course the Vista-look dominates, which is a totally different style as iTunes 7.
My first reaction after having installed iTunes 7, was ‘WOW!’ I really like the design changes, except for some minor versions, but I guess we’ll soon see a 7.1 version with corrections.
My visual comparation with iTunes 7 here. Didn’t link to it in my first comment since the post is outdated today with iTunes 7. But the biggest remarks I had about file/album handling are gone now.
If only with the same catalog I could restrict iTunes to the same 32MB (while playing music) RAM I might use it as standard player since I like bright designs (and continuous play).
