Maximize your applications so they use the entire screen and hide your dock/start bar.
It’s really nice to look at porn informative websites in full screen. I’ve never done this until now, and I find it pretty useful, with my dock hidden and my browser/feed reader/code editor/music application/photo managing tool taking up all my screen I don’t get disturbed by those stupid IMs (”digg plz kthx”) or by whatever else you got going on.
That’s about it, if you maximize your apps but keep the dock or windows start bar on you will still know someone is bugging you, so I highly recommend hiding it.
