Seems like it would be something interesting to try nonetheless. I wouldn't doubt it if they started their whole promotion for free gameplay and then have downloadable add-ons that you could purchase. Or maybe they're just hoping for donations as a source for profit, almost like that selling technique Radiohead did for their album "In Rainbows." All we can do is wait and see.
